Cultural Services:
We find that many of the problems on today’s landscapes come from lack of proper: soil, drainage, plant selection and
care. We use a variety of methods to amend the soil, such as core aeration, and the use of air jet tools to fracture compacted
soil and apply soil amendments. Injections: Trunk and soil injections are the primary tool for insect and disease control, as well
as feeding trees. Spraying:
On occasion the only approach to a certain problem is to spray. However, before choosing spray, all other options will
be explored. Pruning: Many times thinning and removal of rubbing, crossing and dead branches on trees will help
them remain healthy. Airflow through the canopy helps dry out the leaves, so mold and other fungal diseases are discouraged.
Removal of dead branches discourages insects and properly pruned trees and shrubs are aesthetically appealing. Planting: We offer landscape services for the installation of
new planting beds, and new trees and shrubs of most any size. We can help design and implant a very customized plan for your
yard, whether it’s one plant or a whole yard. Stump grinding: We have a variety of different size stump grinding
machines to accommodate any size stump or any type of accessibility problem. Bed work: We offer bed edging
with a state of the art bed edger, addition of any type of mulch and weed control in planting beds. Legal council: We
offer consultation, tree and shrub appraisals and court appearances. Education: We are available for school or group talks on a limited
basis. Gypsy Moth control: Gypsy Moths are our most recent and most devastating pest. We offer a number
of different controls for this insect, from tree banding done with the most up-to-date technology in banding material, to
very tall tree spraying with a high volume sprayer capable of over 65’ in height, to trunk injections for control of
larvae in very environmentally sensitive areas. Winter protection: We offer anti-desiccant applications to prevent
drying of evergreens, trunk wrapping, etc. Environmentally friendly control of invasives: We use an injection system to control such unwanted species as Boxelders. |
